Jadzia P. Ajemian, Class Coordinator

Jadzia has a BA in Communication Studies and Education with a MA in Reading Instruction from the State University of NY at Oswego. She has been an educator for the past 17 years. She is currently teaching at Martha Reid Elementary as a second grade teacher for the Mansfield ISD. She has been happily married to Greg Ajemian for the past 16 years with one daughter, Isabelle who will be a sophomore at Mansfield High School and a son, Michael who will be a seventh grader at Worley Middle School.
Jadzia has always had a love for the arts especially musical theatre. She enjoyed participating in theatre and music since high school and college and during those years competed in regional and state competitions for speech tournaments (dramatic interpretations). After college she enjoyed performing with Community Choral Groups, Community Theatre productions as well as participating in Dinner Theatre productions in Syracuse, NY.
As an active board member of Mainstage Classic Theatre since its inception, she has participated in numerous holiday productions with MCT/United Methodist, is involved as a “Drama Mama” encouraging, supporting and working with her own children with theatre and music over the last eight years. She has also assisted with the MCT’s Summer Youth Theatre programs and now has been teaching drama classes for MCT.
Jadzia believes that drama provides children with the opportunity to use their creativity and imagination, which helps them with problem solving skills, improves their ability to more successfully interact and engage with others, as well as enhance their self-confidence.
